Fed: Firefighters battling blaze in southern ACT
Canberra firefighters are battling a large blaze south of the city on the New SouthWales boarder.
The fire, on the Monaro Highway near suburban Chisholm, has been burning for about 45 minutes.
ACT Bushfire Service duty coordinator TONY CORRIGAN says the fire covered about 15hectares at 3.45pm (AEDT).
